Consequence

Logline:

When the justice system fails her, a wrongfully convicted woman creates her own form of accountability — only to discover that punishment cannot restore what was taken.

About the Film:

Consequence is a psychological thriller about accountability — and what happens when it fails to heal.

After being wrongfully imprisoned for a hit-and-run that left her sister permanently disabled, Elena Rosen discovers that the man responsible has rebuilt his life as a respected counselor teaching “accountability” to at-risk youth. When the system that failed her refuses to correct itself, Elena creates her own.

The film explores what moral confidence does to people — how the need for justice can quietly turn into control, and how forcing understanding doesn’t restore what was taken. As Elena pursues truth outside the law, the question shifts from guilt to cost.

There are no speeches, no verdicts, and no easy absolution. The film deliberately withholds judgment, leaving the audience to sit with the same discomfort as its characters.

Consequence is about the moment revenge stops working — and the damage that remains.
